[...]]]> Good news for Pakistani website developers specially Urdu website developers is that PTA(Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) and PKNIC(Pakistan Network Information Centre) have announced the launch of a local internet content drive in the Pakistan. The basic purpose of this campaign is to encourage Pakistani Urdu website developers and newcomers to develop local content in Urdu language. Many webmasters from Pakistan are blogging in English language so this would be a quite fun and interesting way to bring people to write in Urdu.

Under the programme, PKNIC would offer 5,000 Free Top Level Domains(.com, .net etc) for those willing to develop local content websites in Urdu or any other local language, said a PTA statement. PKNIC is the ccTLD operator for “pk domain” .ccTLD stands for country code Top Level Domain which represents a country on the internet.
