ICC has announced that World cup Twenty20 2012 will be held in Srilanka and World cup Twenty20 2014 will be held in Bangladesh. England will host the Champions Trophy in 2013. One Day International World cup 2015 will be held in Australia and New Zealand. One Day International Women’s World Cup 2013 will be held in India. No Cricket for Pakistan which is big disappointment for Pakistani cricket fans.

At Singapore Chief Executives Committee (CEC) and Governance Review Committee (GRC) working groups met together to talk about the ICC events program post 2015, the occurrence and arrangement for worldwide proceedings and requirement for those proceedings, and the introduction of Test and ODI leagues to give context to the conventional formats of the game.

CEC operational group has been set up to help in raising a practical answer. The group, comprising David Collier (England and Wales), Nishantha Ranatunga (Sri Lanka), N Srinivasan (India), James Sutherland (Australia) and David Richardson (ICC general manager, cricket) will meet once more with the GRC before submitting a suggestion for the CEC to think at its September gathering.

ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat said the committee was bearing in mind using Twenty20 to increase the fame of the game and curtailing contribution in the 50-over World Cup. “There is clearly a hunger from all quarters to look at the make-up of the ICC Cricket World Cup and the ICC World Twenty20 and look for the best balance between brilliance and growth,” he said. “In terms of the number of participating teams, it is possible that the World Cup could be compact and the World Twenty20 prolonged.

Even though we have complete high-quality growth, this work out requires additional work. We know there are thrilling opportunities to defend and endorse all three formats but we must work out endurance as we think all aspects in introducing background and content in international cricket.
