But less than 40 years ago, the idea of a cell phone was just–an idea. Who would have imagine that after 40 years its in the hand of every child and with out cell phone life become incomplete.

In 1970′s Japan NTT introduces the first commercial 1G cellular network. First call on a mobile phone made by Dr. Martin Cooper in 1973. After that Motorola and Nokia introduces their first cell phones in 1980′s. The first digital cellular phone call is made in the US in 1990′s. In 1995 Nokia implements the first commercial usage of text messaging, giving the general public the ability to send and receive Sms messages. In 2007 Apple introduces the Iphone, which has an advanced touch screen navigation interface.

Below we chronicle the technological innovations and improvements that have taken place in a few short decades to make the mobile phone the powerful machine that it is today.
